Police are investigating the suspicious circumstances involving the death of a Citigroup manager who was found in his Manhattan apartment bathtub with his throat cut.

Police say 42-year-old Shawn Miller was discovered Tuesday afternoon by his doorman at his Greenwich Village apartment after a friend asked to check on him. He was found with a slash wound on his neck inside his bathtub.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry or weapon found.

The medical examiner’s office is determining the cause of death.

Miller was managing director of the environment and social risk management team at Citigroup, Inc.

A spokeswoman for the New York-based company said in a statement the company was deeply saddened and their thoughts were with his family.
