A 23-year-old black man who testified during the grand jury proceedings over the killing of Michael Brown by former police officer Darren Wilson, has been found dead.

The witness was found in a dry channel near River Des Peres in Missouri, local authorities confirmed.

The man has been identified as 23-year-old Shawn Gray, who testified during the grand jury proceedings over the killing of Brown by former police officer Darren Wilson.

According to relatives and friends, Gray was last seen leaving a restaurant on Thanksgiving Day. The cause of his death has not been revealed, pending autopsy results. However, his family is demanding answers and say the death could have been premeditated murder.

Another witness DeAndre Joshua, also a young black man, was found shot dead and his car was torched outside the same neighborhood where Brown was killed.
