TMZ is reporting that boxing champ Floyd Mayweather stoked the flames as he talked his friend Earl Hayes into a rage over his wife’s cheating that Hayes gunned her down.

Multiple sources told TMZ, and now detectives from the LAPD want to question the champ.

According to multiple media sources Hayes was on Facetime with Mayweather early Monday morning when the murder suicide took place.

However, now TMZ has reported that Floyd was telling Hayes he should leave his wife, Stephanie Moseley, dancer and star of VH1’s “Hit the Floor”, because she was bad for his career.

Reports say Hayes was distraught over what he believed was repeated infidelity, including a fling he said Stephanie had with singer Trey Songz.

One Mayweather source says the boxer challenged Hayes, saying he was weak for not leaving her.

At that point, as Floyd was on FaceTime, Hayes went off and said he was going to gun down Stephanie. We’re told when the boxer realized Hayes was going to shoot Stephanie, he begged Hayes not to go through with it.

Law enforcement sources say Hayes entered the bathroom as Moseley bathed and fired off 10 to 12 rounds, hitting his wife multiple times.

Neighbors heard the shots called the police, who responded to the scene, however, as they entered the door to the apartment, they heard another shot and retreated.
The shot heard was Hayes taking his own life.

The SWAT team arrived and broke down the door and Moseley’s body was found in the bathroom and the body of Hayes in the bedroom.

LAPD now want to interview Floyd as a witness to the murder-suicide.
