According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, NFLPA filed suit in federal court on behalf of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith, appearing on ESPN’s Mike & Mike this morning, stated “the union will file a motion in federal court to overturn the Peterson decision,” per the show’s Twitter account.

This comes after ABCNews.com’s staff leaked a conversation between Peterson and Troy Vincent, which was transcribed by Yahoo Sports’ Jay Busbee, which could be heard below. In the conversation, which could be heard below, Vincent is heard telling Petersen his suspension would be only for two games.
