Matthew used her key to get into the Lincoln Township fire station’s garage and got behind the wheel of a fire truck without permission, police said.

She took to the road speeding and turned on the siren, police said.

She used the emergency radio to complain that another firefighter was following her, according to a dispatch recording obtained by KCTV5.

“There is another firefighter on my tail and he’s trying to (expletive) kill me,” Matthew reportedly said, her words sounding slurred.

Matthew said she felt harassed by her fellow firefighter while she waited around on standby.

She gave her location to dispatchers, who alerted a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy that pulled her over, ending the ride.

She was released from jail on a $1,000 bond. Matthew was canned from her volunteer firefighter duties.

The truck was not damaged.
