Boxing fans are waiting for an announcement from Floyd Mayweather that he has agreed to fight Manny Pacquiao, a fight the public has been begging to see for the better part of 5 years.

Finally after years of dealing with the back and forth, Pacquiao announced that he had agreed to all of Floyd’s demands.

Even rumors have been circulating that an announcement will be made during the Super Bowl. To fans,  the fight seems to be on the cusp of reality, or at least it seems.

However, former pal and  member of the “Money Team”, 50 Cent, says the fight just ain’t gonna happen.

In an interview with Techno Buffalo the rapper bluntly said, “It ain’t happening, You heard me say it on film. It’s not going to happen.”

50 Cent went on to say because “Floyd is in a favorable position and can practically choose to fight anyone he wants.”

Ironically the same day 50 Cent gave his assessment,  reports began to surface online that Mayweather may pull out of the mega fight with Pacquiao and instead opt for a rematch with Miguel Cotto instead.

50 Cent continued saying, “What you wanna fight Pac-Man for under those circumstances when you can pick anybody you want to? Cause we wanna see the toughest fight?”

The rapper and Mayweather have fallen out, he was not disrespectful in his comment about the Pound for Pound King..

“It don’t happen if it don’t have to,” he said. “Later when they look at his actual record and look at what he’s done, they’re still gonna have to say, ‘Who do you think could have beat him if it would have happened this way?’”

Oscar De La Hoya agreed with 50 Cents assessment in an interview with Boxing Scene, where he said, “I’m not speaking to you as a promoter, I’m speaking to you as a fan. I want that fight to happen, but I have a feeling that it’s not going to happen.”

The Golden Boy continued,”Bob [Arum] and Pacquiao already conceded to everything. They have their deal in place, so now they are waiting on Mayweather. I just don’t think Mayweather wants to fight Pacquiao. I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
