A Houston man is under arrest after police allegedly discovered child porn on his stolen phone.

The man, identified as Daniel Garcia, 20, had his mobile smartphone stolen last year.

A woman Bought the same phone last July at a Pagetel store.

The woman had no prior knowledge that she purchased a stolen phone, requested to have her contacts and photos transferred to the new phone, Click2Houston.com reports.

According to Police, when she arrived at her home, she looked at the photos, which had just some of her own pictures, however, she observed a multitude of images showing naked children.

The woman went to the police and turned over the phone. Police managed to track the phone back to it’s original owner, who is Garcia, KHOU.com reports.

Investigators said many of the images on the phone were pornographic in nature.

Police then executed a search warrant of Garcia’s home where they interviewed him.

Police say Garcia admitted that he had owned the phone that held the images, but said it had been stolen, ABC11.com reports.

Police said he allegedly admitted downloading the pornographic images and that he has been viewing child pornography since he was 12 years old, according to Click2Houston.com.

During the investigation, detectives said they discovered Garcia had been inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl since she was in kindergarten.

Garcia was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of child pornography and one count of indecency with a child. He remains behind bars on $90,000 bail.
