Aided by tips from the public, North Carolina deputies arrested a 40-year-old woman caught on video attacking a disabled grandmother driving with her granddaughter in the car.

Kristin Leigh Phillips, of Randleman, turned herself in late Monday after Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies posted images from the road rage outburst on Facebook, Detective Sgt. Bernie Maness told the Daily News on Wednesday.

The footage showed a vehicle allegedly driven by Phillips stopping several times on a two-lane road as Sherri Hastings drives behind her. Hastings, who is disabled and has a handicapped license plate, was driving with her 6-year-old granddaughter. She can be heard telling the girl that the other woman had earlier tried to run them off the road, and then passed in front of their car.

After several stops and starts with Phillips now in front, she eventually brakes in the middle of the road, jumps out of her car and comes running back to Hastings’ vehicle, according to the video. She can be seen screaming and cursing and trying to grab Hastings as the driver’s window goes up. She pounds on the glass and the car’s roof. The woman’s granddaughter can then be heard crying and shouting.

The video ends as Phillips stomps back to her car, taunting Hastings to get out of her vehicle and screaming “F— you!”
