Bobbi Sue Pack 32, the Ohio mother, who along with her boyfriend, tortured and raped her three young kids, has been sentenced to 10 years to life in prison, after pleading guilty to two counts of rape.

Her partner, Juan Carlos Sanchez, 45, a Virgin Islands native plead guilty for the rape of the two girls. He was sentenced 25 years to life for two counts of rape and one count of child endangerment.

The prison term accepted was part of the plea deals excepted by the defendants in Scioto County Court on Wednesday.

A third suspect, Edwina Louis, 52, who is the kids’ grandmother, is also charged with in the abuse, rejected all plea deals and is taking the case to trial next week.

Police say the three deviants chained the children naked to their beds for weeks at a time, deprived them of food and would beat them with belts or paddles as punishment when they were caught for stealing food.

A psychiatrist who treated the children, two girls ages 9, and 11, and the boy age 8, described them as “almost feral like,” and suffered from nightmares due to the ongoing abuse.

The victims were reluctant to speak to caseworkers and child psychologists out of fear that their grandmother would kill them.

Authorities were alerted after the 11-year-old girl, who is part of the Ohio Virtual Academy, emailed a teacher, asking them to contact police because she and her siblings were being tortured.

In late January of 2014 the teacher approached the police, who immediately dispatched officers and Child Services to the Wheelersburg home.

Upon arriving the police officers discovered four children, all of them under the of age 13. At first the kids denied the abuse was taking place. However, authorities raided the home again in February, arresting all three suspects and placed the children in the custody of foster care.

“They chained these children up like animals and refused to feed them, after realizing they could get out of the ropes, they switched to dog chains — and chained them to the bed.” Prosecutor Pat Apel said in court Wednesday.

Scioto County sheriff’s Capt. David Hall confirmed that the children showed scars that were consistent with their stories.

Sanchez is the biological father of the toddler girl. She is believed not to have suffered the abuse; her siblings had endured.

Both Pack and Sanchez risked life in prison without the possibility of parole if the case had gone to trial.
