Police arrested the father of a missing Virginia teenager after he broke into the home of a man he suspects is responsible for kidnapping his daughter.

Wesley Hadsell, 36, was behind bars Saturday in the Norfolk City Jail, held without bail. Hadsell is charged on four counts of obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and breaking & entering.

Hadsell 18-year-old daughter, Anjelica Hadsell, has been missing since March 2nd.

“I want my daughter home safe, That’s all I want,” Hadsell said in an interview behind bar. “Anybody can say something about that or get in the way of that, then I’m sorry. And so what, I have some unorthodox ways, I had nothing to do with her disappearance. I don’t know where she’s at,” he said

Hadsell, who has a criminal history, became convinced that someone kidnapped Anjelica. He made the decision to break into the home of a person he suspects may be involved in his daughter’s disappearance, And do some investigation work of his own.

“I Looked around, in trash cans, underneath a carpet and even punched the family’s dog out of anger,” he said. However, he does claim to having discovered his daughter’s jacket folded and stashed behind a couch.

“I can’t sit a minute away from where my daughter may have been,” Hadsell told the station. He added, “There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my family, and they make it sound like I’d do anything to keep myself out of trouble,”

Police found 72 rounds from a nine-millimeter, in his motel room, which led to the additional charge of possession of ammunition.

Norfolk Police, who did confirm Hadsell’s arrest, haven’t released any details regarding the case or if there are any suspects, but have not ruled out foul play in the disappearance of Anjelica.
