The manager of the Chicago area rapper Lil Durk was gunned down just hours after attending a meeting with NBA Chicago Bulls star Joakim Noah to discuss an anti-violence event.

Uchenna Agina, known as Chino Dolla and OTF Chino, died after being shot in the Avalon Park neighborhood, in Chicago’s southside.

According to Police, gunman shot Agina, 24, as he sat in a car in the 8400 block of South Stony Island Avenue around 1:50 a.m. Friday, authorities said.

A friend rushed Agina to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he died less than an hour later.

Agina, Lil Durk, and DJ Bandz went to Joakim Noah’s Downtown condominium on Thursday night, to discuss working with Noah’s “Rock Your Drop” anti-violence campaign. According to DJ Bandz’ manager, Devin Jackson.

Jackson called Agina a “real, humble, nice dude, a back scenes guy who took care of business.”

Noah commented on Agina’s death on Saturday: “We were just discussing doing some work for the kids, something positive.
“He got murdered. I never experienced anything like that. My respects go out to his family and friends. I just hope we can find solutions.”

Although the murder rate has lowered in recent years, gun violence still plagues the city of Chicago. In 2014, there were 2,500 shootings and 400 deaths in the city.
