Brianne Altice, the Utah teacher, accused of having sex with three different students in the past two years, will stand trial separately for each allegation.

Judge Thomas Kay ruled the 35-year-old former Davis High School teacher in Kaysville, Utah will have three separate trials, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

Prosecutors accuse Altice of having three sexual relationships with male students since 2013. One of the alleged students told the court Thursday he had sex with Altice after her arrest for allegedly sleeping with the other two students.

The student testified to having a sexual relationship with the blond teacher, which lasted a year. The student told the court he considered Altice to be his girlfriend. The 18-year-old testified she texted him a racy picture of her breasts just last June.

Altice is in the custody of the county jail, and while the judge determines her trial dates next month.

Police charged Altice with various sexual assault charges including five counts of first-degree felony rape and two counts of first-degree felony forcible sodomy.

The former English teacher allegedly had sex with the teenage boys at her home, at a park and in a church parking lot.

The separate trials came at the request of Altice’s defense attorney who argued it would be immensely prejudicial to stand trial for all three counts at once.
