Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been found guilty of all 30 counts in the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon, which killed three people and wounding 260 on Wednesday.

Tsarnev looked down as the guilty verdicts were delivered. The jury deliberated for 11 hours and must now decide whether Tsarnev gets the death penalty or receives life in prison.

A guilty verdict was expected after his defense attorney admitted during opening statements that he in fact took part in the bombing. However, the lawyer attempted to argue that his older brother Tamerlan masterminded the attack and co-opted his 19-year-old brother to assist in the attack.

Prosecutors argued that both brothers were full partners in a plan to retaliate against the U.S.because of the conflicts taking place in muslim countries.

The Jury sent a stern message finding Tsarnev guilty on all 30 counts, 17 of those make him eligible for the death penalty. The jury must now come to a unanimous vote in order for Tsarnev to received the death penalty.
