Tennessee State Troopers arrested Hip-hop star Nelly and charged him with felony drug possession on Saturday. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Nelly’s bus was pulled over for failing to display a U.S. Department of Transportation sticker.

Police charged the 40-year-old St.Louis rapper, whose real name is Cornell Hynes with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nelly’s lawyer Scott Rosenblum said he was “confident when the facts are revealed, it will show Nelly had no association with the contraband allegedly discovered on the bus.”

Authorities said in a statement, “As the trooper began an inspection of the Prevost motor coach, he noticed the smell of marijuana emitting from the bus,”

“Two officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found “five colored crystal rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine. In addition, the officers discovered a small amount of marijuana and different types of drug paraphernalia,” Police officials announced.

The highway patrol officers also found several handguns, including a gold-plated .50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a .45-caliber,500 Smith & Wesson Magnum.

Nelly, was booked into the custody of the Putnam County Jail along with another member of his entourage. The rapper was freed after posting bail. “There were 15-20 people who had access to the bus prior to the stop,” said Rosenblum.

He described the rocks the troopers discovered as “MDMA known as Molly or Ecstasy on the street.
