Police in New Mexico want to question the UFC Pound for pound champion Jon “Bones” Jones over an alleged hit-and-run.

Jones, 27, is considered the prime suspect in an alleged hit and run accident Sunday morning in Albuquerque. The accident resulted in a pregnant woman being hospitalized according to ESPN.

The UFC Light Heavyweight champion moved to Albuquerque earlier this year, is facing a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge. In addition, Jones could be liable for the damages caused to the vehicles involved — and hospital costs for the woman.

“The case has proceeded, and Jones is now our prime suspect in the hit-and-run,” said Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Simon Drobik.

Representatives for Jones have so far refused to comment on the incident, and UFC honcho Dana White said they are aware of the claims. But refused to comment until more information was readily made available.

Jones is scheduled to defend his light heavyweight title, against Anthony Johnson in Las Vegas on May 23.

The hit-and-run allegations follow a turbulent last few months for Jones. He reportedly tested positive for cocaine back in December 2014.

Jones was also sentenced to 40 hours of community service and fined $50,000 after his press conference brawl with fellow UFC fighter Daniel Cormier in August 2014. Additionally, in 2012 Jones pleaded guilty to a DUI after crashing his vehicle into a telephone pole.
