The mother of Floyd Mayweather’s three children wants a piece of Floyd Mayweather’s payday he made from Saturday’s fight after she filed a $20 million defamation lawsuit on Tuesday in connection with the 2010 domestic abuse case, which saw him serve two months in prison.

The lawsuit filed by attorneys representing Josie Harris, claims Mayweather harmed her by lying during an interview with Katie Couric, which aired on Yahoo Global News two weeks ago.

Mayweather denied physically assaulting Harris. The Pound for Pound King told Couric he had to “restrain” because of her drug habit.

“Did I stomp, kick and beat someone? No, that didn’t happen,” Floyd told Couric. “I look in your face and say, ‘No, that didn’t happen.’

“Did I restrain a woman that was high on drugs?” he continued. “Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone.”

However, the court didn’t agree with Mayweather’s assessment of the 2010 incident. He served two months in prison after being convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery.

Mayweather said he was convicted because of his race and success.because of his success. “I’m black. I’m rich. And I’m outspoken. Those are three strikes right there,” Mayweather alleged.

Harris filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, a spokesman for her lawyer said. Mayweather’s assault of Harris had an effect on his young son, who was 10-years-old at the time.

Koraun Mayweather told police in a statement, “I saw my dad on my mom … my dad was hitting her.”

Mayweather’s representative have not commented on the lawsuit.
