Mother in Florida Held Hostage by High on Meth Boyfriend Uses Pizza Hut to Contact Police

A Florida mom being held hostage by her high on meth boyfriend managed to contact help by placing  a pizza order online. The woman begged someone to call police in the comment section, Usually used for additional comments.

Deputies say Cheryl Treadway saved the lives of herself and her three children from her boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, who held them at knifepoint on Tuesday afternoon.

The Highlands County Sheriff said Nickerson was high on meth when he grabbed a knife took away Treadway’s phone at knifepoint on Tuesday. The couple argued throughout the day, but as she attempted to leave, he just became more aggressive.

However, she managed to convince him to allow her to order a Pizza Hut pie for her and the kids. Treadway went to order a large pepperoni pizza online and wrote in the particular directions box reserved for additional toppings, “Please help! Get 911 to me.”

The employees at the Pizza Hut knew Treadway as a regular customer and immediately called 911. Minutes later, Sheriff’s Deputies rushed to her home, where She ran out with one of the children and told them her two other kids were still inside with, Nickerson, who is the father.

“His first words were, of course, ‘I’m not coming out because I know I’m going to jail,” Lt. Curtis Ludden, who lead the negotiations said during a press conference.

After 20 minutes, Ludden managed to talk Nickerson into surrendering peacefully. Nickerson harmed none of the children. Police charged Nickerson with aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill, battery, and false imprisonment. He is being held in a Florida jail on $45,000 bond.
