The entire country of Mexico has been shocked by the news of the brutal murder of a six-year-old boy at the hands of five other children while playing a “game of kidnap.”

According to Mexican Police, the suspected children, ages 12 to 15, invited Christopher Raymundo Marquez to play at a nearby waste ground close to his home in Chihuahua.

However, when they came to a stream, the children told him they were going play a game of a kidnap. According to investigators, The youngsters bound The boy’s hands and feet together, then began beating him with a thorn-covered stick.

Then in an a brutal act, they stoned and suffocated the child with the stick pressed against his neck, killing him.

In a final disturbing act, after the boy died, one of the kids stabbed him in the back. His body was discovered early Saturday, in the city of Chihuahua, two days after he went missing, buried face down in a shallow grave.

Police said the child killers are reported to be a boy aged 12, two girls aged 13 and two other boys aged 15. Authorities said the youngsters dug the grave with their bare hands, dumped the body in the shallow grave and covered in with weeds and even a dead animal.

Police revealed the horrific details of Christopher’s murder on Saturday night after they announced that three of the young suspects could not face charges under the local law due to the ages of the suspects.

State prosecutor Sergio Almaraz said the minors admitted to killing the youngster during a ‘game of kidnap’. The children were reportedly all neighbors and friends of the young victim.

But they turned on him after telling him they were going to pretend a kidnapping beside the stream. ‘While they were playing, one of the 15-year-olds suggested to the others that they should kill Christopher. It wasn’t planned. It was a condition of the game they played,” said Almaraz.

Authorities were alerted to the incident by the mother of one of the 15-year-old suspects, who told them of her son’s involvement in the murder.

The two 15-year-old boys now face criminal charges. However, three younger children, cannot face charges because they are under the legal age of 14, which is the age of criminal responsibility to be tried in Mexico

‘Because they’re minors and very young they have very specific rights that are stipulated by law,” A spokesman for the local prosecution service said. He added, “All five children will undergo psychological and sociological studies to determine their family environments.”

The victim’s mother, Tania, had reported him missing on Thursday night. She shockingly revealed that Christopher’s killers and their families participated in the search prior to discovering his body.

“What I want is justice. If justice isn’t done, we’ll make sure it’s done with our own hands. As a mother, I demand justice. How are they going to set these children free?” The heartbroken mother said.

She added, “They haven’t done these horrible things to a dog, they’ve done them to a child.”

Prosecutors expressed concerns over a killing that showed ‘social decomposition’ and an ‘absence of values,” that was indeed putting it lightly.
