Boston Police say two women who were shot outside of Fenway Park early Sunday morning could be a possible gang-related attack, according to reports.

The female victims are in their 20s and were shot on Brookline Ave. and Yawkey Way at about 2 a.m., in front of a Boston Beer Works bar. The shooting happened several hours after the Red Sox played the Phillies on Saturday.

According to the bar’s general manager, Dan Quintino, his night manager saw the two young women lying in the middle of Yawkey Way after a bullet shattered his restaurant’s window. Photos showed buildings in the area riddled with bullets.

Quintino said Fenway Park sees some occasional alcohol related fights after games, but never gun violence, especially with all the police presence there.

If this had happened during a ball game, it would have been tragic,” Quintino said. “We’re mostly a family restaurant so it can be very scary.”

The two women went to nearby hospitals and are expected to survive, according to reports. No arrests have been made.

A glass panel on Fenway Park’s ticket office was boarded up on Sunday morning, CBS Boston reported.

Detectives are looking into if the shooting is gang-related, officer James Kenneally told the Boston Globe. A source said the shooters were coming from a Hip-Hop Night at the Who’s On First Sports bar.
