Federal agents along with the NYPD arrested close to two dozen alleged gang members who terrorized the South Bronx with a string of shootings as part of a massive gang indictment.

Gang members, who were hauled off to federal court “politely” gave photographers the bird.

Among those booked were 21 members of the Young Guns and 18 Park gangs, who were all nabbed during a 6 a.m. operation centered on the Patterson Houses in Mott Haven, law enforcement officials said.

The suspects now face multiple drug, weapons possession and assault charges as a result of the investigation that began in August 2014, ATF spokesman Charles Mulham said.

“Both sets of gangs were competing against each other for the narcotics trade and during the course of their competition, there were many acts of violence perpetrated,” Mulham said.

The gang violence includes at least three homicides and multiple stabbings, officials said.

A wild scene broke out at the 49th Precinct stationhouse, where over a dozen suspects were being loaded into police vans bound for Manhattan Federal Court yelled “It’s not fair. It’s not fair!”

Another hollered “Don’t be taking no pictures, don’t be taking no pictures!”

“Hey yo, hand us a cigarette!” one suspect yelled after being loaded into a blue police van.

Another had a loving message for the women in his life.

“Tell my hoes to get in contact with me!” he said.

“I’ve been harassed, I’ve been thrown to the floor. I’ve been suffering migraine headaches,” another man said.

Two more alleged members were busted in Massena, N.Y., near the Canadian border.

An additional 30 members of the warring crews were already in jail when the sweep took place, officials said.

The never ending beefs between these gangs nearly killed a cop, according to law enforcement sources.

Court papers detail the costs of gang war starting in 2005.

Two members of the Young Gunnaz, also known as the YGz, Wendell “Delly Dell” Belle and Willliam “Rell” Bracey “stomped and killed” a man named Moises Lora on Morris Ave. in April 2012.

A brazen 18 Park member pointed a firearm at two NYPD officers on Sept. 24, 2013, papers charge.

Residents of the Patterson Houses “have been plagued by this increasing trend of firearm activity and other types of violence since 2011.

Now we hope that they wake up today and actually see and have that palpable sense of a little more quiet, a little more safer environment,” Mulham said.

Residents of the housing projects expressed relief about the bust — but said a lot more needed to be done.

“They’ll shoot a person with a kid. They have no respect,” a man who only gave his name as Cruz said of gang members. “In the summer time it’s not safe at all. In the summer time the shells fly. They have no morals, no parameters.”

More details regarding the charges are expected Wednesday afternoon as the suspects are presented before a magistrate judge in Manhattan Federal Court.

All told, 50 people are named in the indictment, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case said.
