Chicago Police charged a female teacher with the sexual abuse of a 16-year-old boy, which took place at her home on New Year’s Day.

Investigators say 44-year-old Christine Taylor allegedly invited the child with his mother on Friday around nine p.m. on January 1st, for pizza at her home in the Chicago suburb Naperville, Illinois.

According to an affidavit, Taylor reportedly convinced the mother to let her take her son to walk the dog. However, she instead took him into her bedroom, where she sexually assaulted him.

The mother allegedly ‘witnessed’ the abuse, and urged another resident to contact the police, who placed Taylor under arrest.

Taylor, who is a teacher at Jefferson Junior High School, is being held instead of $300,000 bond.

State’s Attorney Robert Berlin told the Chicago Tribune,¬†“Although¬†the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community.”
