Former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter was arrested in Florida for his involvement in a bar fight on Wednesday night.

Police took Carter 35, into custody following a scrap at the Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West, Fla. Witnesses described Carter as getting into a scuffle inside the bar. Police arrived at the bar and arrested an intoxicated Carter.

According to a Key West Police report, a bartender refused to serve Carter and another man, Michael Rae Papayans of Palos Verdes Estates, California. That’s when both men became aggressive and were asked to leave by the bar’s staff.

However, once outside, Papayans head-butted one employee, and Carter grabbed a bouncer by the neck.

Carter appeared in court on Thursday after spending several hours in the Monroe County Jail, charged with a misdemeanor battery charge and released on $1,500 bond.
The singer and his wife Lauren Kitt recently announced that they were expecting their first child, on “Dancing with the Stars” where Carter came in second place.

Carter has been JammedUp with the law in the past. He was charged with DUI in 2005, and before that was arrested in 2002 after an altercation in a nightclub.
