A judge in New York City has denied a request to have rapper Bobby Shmurda’s bail reduced from $2 million on Tuesday.

Alex Spiro, the attorney for Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, argued in court that his client’s worth is closer to $427,000, not the $20 million initially estimated, according to a TMZ report.

According to the Daily News, the rapper appeared in court donning a $400 pair of red patent-leather Bally shoes.

Spiro asked the judge for the bail between $50,000 and $100,000, but the motion was denied

The family of Pollard’s family had made a previous failed attempt to use their property as collateral.

Shmurda has been in jail since December 2014 after prosecutors accused him of being a leader of a violent drug dealing Brooklyn gang who are suspected in multiple shootings, authorities said.

The rapper is next scheduled to appear for his court appearance in February.
