The sister-in-law of rapper Eminem has reportedly died of a heroin overdose. According to RadarOnline, Dawn Scott, who is the twin sister of the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Mathers, and the birth mother of the former couple’s adopted daughter Alaina was found dead in a Michigan trailer park.

Authorities in Warren Michigan confirmed the death of Scott from a likely heroin overdose on Tuesday. However, the police have not officially listed the cause of death, pending a toxicology test.”

The 40-year-old Scott died in Unit D-39 of the Motor City Trailer Park, which is just a 15-minute drive from where she grew up with the Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, on the rough 8 Mile Road in Detroit,

The rapper is said to be in shock over Scott’s death, which comes four months after she told Radar that, despite Eminem having a fortune worth $170 million, her brother-in-law had left her to die on the street.

“I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the a**, but they’re refusing to give me any help,” Scott said.

Les Martin, who has lived on-and-off with Scott for the past four years, stated on numerous occasions over the past year he pleaded with Kim to help her sister.

“I’ve been trying to save her life, I’ve had numerous conversations with Kim, trying to get her help, but it wasn’t a conversation she wanted to have,” Martin said.

He added “She wanted to let Dawn go. I was so frustrated I was like, ‘Do you have a $10 million insurance policy on her?’”

According to Radar, the homeless Scott had been bouncing couch to couch and even spending nights sleeping on the street.

Scott told Radar in August, “One night I called my sister and told her I had nowhere to go,” Kim responded, ‘That’s not my problem. Don’t bother me,’ and hung up.”

Martin said Scott was, “doing whatever drugs she could get her hands on.”

“Heroin, cocaine, Adderall. If it were a pill, she would take it,” Martin said. “Klonopin were her downfall. She was swallowing them things like candy.”
