Rival Zetas factions continue executions in the city of Ciudad Victoria

Executions perpetrated by rival factions of the Zetas drug cartel continued to plague the Mexican city of Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.

Authorities say armed sicarios walked into a beer store and opened fire killing three men. A fourth victim was wounded.

According to Breitbart Texas, Mexican law enforcement officials blamed the murders on a faction of Los Zetas called Grupo Bravo, who are suspected a numerous executions and violent attacks.

Grupo Bravo had recently surfaced, announcing their presence on narco-banners placed around the city last month, which issued threats against corrupt government officials, corrupt police officers and included corrupt members of the press.


According to witnesses, the attack transpired around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning after the team of assassins exited a Jeep Liberty walked into the establishment and executed the three men, including the store’s owner Lazaro Rodriguez Molina. Police identified the other two victims as Edelmiro Gonzalez Mendoza and Felipe Eduardo Posada Velazquez.

The brother of Rodriguez is Gustavo Han Molina who is the owner of a chain of convenience stores called Galan. Law enforcement officials believe the family have links to a ruling faction of Los Zetas in Ciudad Victoria.
