According to the New York Post, a woman has accused Giants defensive tackle, Jay Bromley of attempted rape and vehicular assault stemming from an incident at a New York City hotel early Saturday morning.

The 23-year-old Bromley was the 3rd round draft pick out of Syracuse in 2014, who played 16 games this season for the New York Giants.

According to sources, the alleged victim said she first met the 6 foot 3, 306-pound defensive lineman, online.

Police responded to the Hyatt Herald Square Hotel in Midtown Manhattan around 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning where the pair met.

The woman told police officers, after performing a consensual sexual act, she claims that Bromley became violent and tried to assault her sexually.

When they went downstairs, she claimed that Bromley struck her with his vehicle as he drove away from the hotel. Doctors at Roosevelt Hospital treated the woman for injuries and were evaluating her.

Police have made no arrests but said an investigation is currently ongoing.

Bromley is a native of Queens, New York, who was born a crack baby to a drug addicted mother and raised by his aunt and uncle raised in Jamaica.

His Father was a pimp who was convicted of manslaughter in the beating death of a prostitute and sentenced to 8 1/2 to 25 years in prison.

The Giants issued a statement which said: “We are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor it, We have notified the league office per the league’s protocol. The Giants organization will have no further comment as we understand this is an ongoing investigation.”
