Florida authorities have accused a married lawyer of having sex with an attempted murder suspect she represents, at Broward County’s main jail last week.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office banned 35-year-old attorney Jessica Mishali from all five detention centers in Broward County after a guard witnessed her and 26-year-old Ysreal Granda, 26, “ engaging in what appeared to be sexual intercourse in an interview room.

Mishali staunchly denied she had sex with her client through her attorneys. Although she won’t face charges, the Florida Bar Association has opened an inquiry into the incident.

The deputy detailed his account in a report, which said, “I witnessed inmate Granda behind Mrs. David, who was bent over at the waist, her skirt raised to her waist area,” the report said. “The front part of Granda’s body was pressed firmly against Mrs. David’s buttocks area with one of his hands holding Mrs. David at the upper part of her back and his other hand holding Mrs. David at the lower part of her back.”

“Mrs. David seemed to be looking toward the floor. Because of their proximity, I did not observe exposed sexual organs.”

Officials immediately yanked Mishali’s access to the prison facilities in a memo on that includes her picture and placed on all agency scanners.

“Effective immediately, Attorney Jessica Mishali David is prohibited from entering any Broward Sheriff’s Office facility or onto any BSO property for any reason either personal or professional until further notice,” the memo said.

State Bar spokesman Karen Kirksey said Mishali, was a member of the Florida State Bar in good standing with no prior disciplinary history.

Granda previously served four years in prison for attempted murder in nearby Miami-Dade County.

He now faces four felony counts including, including two charges of attempted murder.

Prosecutors requested an emergency hearing Thursday to determine how to proceed with his current case.

Mishali served as a public defender for two years and moved to the Broward Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, where represented clients the public defender’s office couldn’t due to conflicts of interest.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Mishali was fired from the second position on Jan. 4th for “misconduct in the performance of her duties.”

Broward Public Defender Howard Finkelstein expressed shock at the allegations to the newspaper.

“She did a good job for us,” Finkelstein said. “I’m shocked if the allegations are true. I can’t really wrap my mind around it. Love can make people do crazy things. And this is a crazy thing.”

If the investigation by the State Bar determines enough probable cause to support the allegation and the Florida State Supreme Court concludes she violated the Bar’s policies, the high court could then move to disbar the attorney.
