A New York City resident who was pulled over for speeding was arrested Saturday after a subsequent search by Connecticut state police uncovered more than $250,000 worth of cocaine hidden in the man’s car.

Troopers pulled over 46-year-old Manhattan resident Ruben Abreu, around 9 a.m.Saturday after he was clocked going 65 mph in a 45 mph zone on I-95 near Milford, Connecticut on Saturday.

According to police officials, a drug-sniffing K-9 led the officer to the discovery of four bricks equating to total 8.7 pounds of cocaine inside Abreu’s vehicle.

Abreu lives in the same building in Washington Heights where authorities seized over $12 million worth of heroin and meth stashed in an apartment by a crew of drug dealers back in April 2014.

He now faces a charge of possession with intent to sell and is currently held on $300,000 bond.

Abreu is scheduled to appear in court Monday. It’s unclear if he’s represented by an attorney.
