A woman arrested on suspicion of robbing a $30,000 watch from the hotel room of DMX, has accused the often troubled rapper with sexual assault, Los Angeles Police said.

TMZ reported officers responded to calls of a disturbance around 6:44 a.m. involving an argument between DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons and the 25-year-old woman at the Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa, California on Saturday.

Cops arrested the woman for an alleged grand theft, who claimed DMX sexually assaulted her. However, Police said they didn’t arrest Simmons.

The woman secured her release after posting bail, and detectives have begun investigating her allegations against the entertainer.

Sources close to DMX told TMZ that the 45-year-old “Cradle to the Grave” star reportedly met the woman on Friday night at an L.A. bar and invited her along with a group of other people back to his hotel room.

Police were called after someone had noticed she had made off with the pricey watch along with cash.

Insiders deny the woman’s claims, pointing out that several other people were present in the hotel room, TMZ reports.

Simmons has a lengthy rap sheet that dates back to 1998, which includes a six-month stint for failing to pay $400,000 worth of child support to his ex-wife. He served 90-days in jail for animal cruelty and drug possession and has a 2004 arrest for a bizarre incident which he crashed a car through a Kennedy Airport parking lot gate, falsely claiming to be a federal agent.
