Authorities have confirmed the identity of a headless body discovered in a pickup truck on May 3rd just south of Houston in Brazoria County.

Police identified the man earlier this week as Jubal Dee Alexander, a chemical pipe fitter from the town of Port Arthur. It is the second gruesome discovery of a headless body near the Texas coast in the past 14 months, Breitbart News reported.

A fisherman at the Austin Bayou Boat Ramp contacted Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies after noticing what appeared to be a lifeless body in a Chevrolet pickup truck in the parking lot.

Deputies responding to the scene made the grizzly discovery, investigators confirmed Alexander’s identification through fingerprint analysis.

Police officials said an extensive search for his head came up empty.

Alexander worked the graveyard shift as a pipe fitter for a local chemical plant and was last seen on April 27th.

Reports say at the time of his death the victim was homeless and had been sleeping in his truck during the day. Jubal Alexander, the deceased victim’s grieving father told ABC13, “they cut my son’s head off, and they took my son’s head. Who would do that? They won’t even let me see him.”

The father said his 24-year-old son was trying to save up money for bills and described him as a hard worker who was never in trouble.

“He wanted me to be proud of him, so he worked exceptionally hard,” he said. “His shift was a 10-hour, maybe a 13-hour shift. He worked all night long.”

Alexander told the local T.V. affiliate that he had dinner with his son just days before.

He said his son wasn’t the victim of a robbery, his wallet along with cash and his guitar was found inside his truck.

Alexander pleaded to the public for any information that could solve the brutal murder of his son.

“I don’t want to say anything to the person, I want help to define all the individuals who do this; I want enough coverage; I want people to know, I don’t want this to be swept under the rug or die in a cold case. ”

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Brazoria County Crimestoppers at 979-864-2279.

In March 2015, the body of a decapitated man was found in the waters off South Padre Island near the Texas border. Police identified the victim through fingerprints as Franklin Rodriguez Palacios Paz.

At the time, authorities in South Texas suspected Palacios’ murder was cartel-related.

A further investigation led to the eventual arrest of Joel Luna, a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, who was allegedly working for the Gulf Cartel.

U.S. prosecutors charged Luna with capital murder in connection with the gruesome slaying.
