Texas authorities say a geriatric meth head got himself arrested after he attempted to deposit close to a gram of methamphetamine through the drive-through tube of a bank.

According to the Wichita Times Record, 73-year-old Louis Fueque Kent was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Police officials say in an affidavit that Kent was arrested on April 9th after he sent cash and checks deposit needed for a loan payment along with a piece of paper using a deposit tube from a First Bank drive through in Witchita Falls, Texas.

The teller told officers she received the payment, opened the paper and a bag fell out containing a white crystal-like substance inside.

Authorities said the substance, which weighed 0.91 grams, tested positive for methamphetamine, the Times Record News reported.

Kent remains in the custody of the Wichita County Jail on $5,000 bond.
