A stripper who’s been on the lam for over six years after she stabbed another exotic dancer has been apprehended in the Dominican Republic.

U.S. federal authorities announced the arrest of former Providence, R.I. resident Katherine Pimental on Monday, the New York Daily News reported.

Last week, Dominican Police detained and subsequently extradited the 35-year-old Pimental last week to Massachusetts, where she stands accused of the July 2007 stabbing of a fellow exotic dancer at a Dartmouth strip club.

Pimental failed to show up on the day of her trial back in December 2009 on charges stemming from the attack that left the victim with severe injuries to her face and arm.

She is now scheduled to appear in Fall River Superior Court on Tuesday where she faces charges tied to the stabbing incident and additional counts for jumping bail.

Officials haven’t indicated whether an attorney is representing Pimental who could comment on her recent apprehension.
