Port Authority Police on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel say that a man on a motorcycle who was pulled over for driving erratically on Thursday had a diverse array of drugs on him, including Ecstasy, marijuana, and marijuana gummy bears, officials said.

According to police officials, 39-year-old Alexian Acevedo of Staten Island was arrested Thursday on drug charges.

Cops assigned to a school crossing location near the tunnel stopped Acevedo around 7:40 a.m. after they witnessed him driving his red Honda motorcycle in and out of traffic without using a signal, NJ.com reported.

When officers asked for his license, Acevedo replied “I’m suspended in New York,” according to PA spokesman Joseph Pentangelo, “and I’m late for work.”

Police not only discovered Acevedo’s license was suspended, but he also had three arrest warrants including one connected to a marijuana case in New Jersey and two more for failing to appear in court on traffic charges.

Additionally, records show that Acevedo has a felony drug case pending in Brooklyn.

After a subsequent search, cops uncovered plastic bags and small metal boxes containing Ecstasy and marijuana, along with a plastic bag filled with marijuana gummy bears, Pentangelo said.

Police often find illegal edibles during drug busts.

Colorado lawmakers, where pot is legalized, want to make marijuana-laced candy illegal because of the dangers they can pose if children accidentally consume them.
