A suspect has been charged in the death of a man from Port Arthur, Texas, who was found decapitated in his pickup truck at a boat ramp over a month ago.

Zachary Lyn Foyt, 24, was apprehended in Lakewood, Colorado after police officers received information that linked him to the grizzly slaying of 24-year-old Jubal Dee Alexander back in May.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Foyt is currently being held in the Jefferson Couty jail on a $5 million bail and is awaiting extradition to Brazoria County.

The sheriff indicated that Foyt did not know Alexander before the murder.

Authorities found out that Foyt went to Colorado and went there to interview him. Witnesses were also questioned back in Texas, and officials ultimately gathered enough evidence to slap Foyt with a murder charge.

As JammedUp reported, Alexander’s body was discovered by authorities in a blue Chevrolet pickup truck back on May 3rd at the Austin Bayou Boat Ramp. He was identified via fingerprint analysis.

The victim reportedly worked at the Ineos chemical plant as a contractor. At the time of his death, he lived in his pickup truck, which was usually parked under the Austin Bayou Bridge.

Authorities have yet to determine whether the Alexander was already dead when he was decapitated. The man’s head has still not been found.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the grizzly slaying.
