A Pennsylvania man with one arm is facing accusations of slashing his brother-in-law with a samurai sword in an altercation over marijuana.

The wannabe gladiator, Todd Clark, struck the victim in the face at around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. The fight reportedly started when Amelia Garey, Clark’s sister, and her husband Bill told Clark not to smoke his weed because there were children in the house.

Bill recalled, “Todd, who is disabled, said, ‘If I can’t have it, I’ll kill myself.’”

As Clark’s sister Amelia walked away, Clark hit her in the head with a cane. Her husband allegedly jumped in and punched the suspect in his face, KDKA reported.

The police report states that Clark grabbed the samurai sword from behind his bed and told his brother in law to “bring it on.”

Then, Clark swung the sword and hit Bill across the nose, leaving a slice across the man’s face.

Bill told WTAE, “All I felt was like a crack. I thought he hit me with a cane, the same thing he hit her with.”

He continued, “I was covered in blood, and they told me, ‘no, it was a sword.’”

The man was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital to receive several stitches in order to stop the bleeding.

After the attack, police found the sword, which had a 3-foot blade, a white handle, and a dragon design, covered in blood.

Several family members swarmed Clark and wrestled the samurai sword out of the hand of the one-armed man, and held him down until officers arrived at the scene.
