A young woman from Texas was gunned down last week by her own mother just days before her wedding.

According to the Daily Mail, 22-year-old Taylor Sheats, who was fatally shot along with her 17-year-old sister Madison, was set to marry her boyfriend of four years, Juan Sebastion Lugo, in a small ceremony on Monday.

According to reports, they were planning a more formal ceremony once she graduated from college.

Taylor’s future sister-in-law, Maria Lugo, paid tribute to the family following the brutal attack, which reportedly did not end until police officers had to gun the 42-year-old mother down after she refused to put down her firearm.

In a post on Facebook, Maria Lugo wrote: “Yall were part of our family, and that will never change … The greatest in-laws anyone could ever have, and the sweetest, most wholesome and caring girls in my life.

She continued, “I look up to yall so much. Y’all were a light in the midst of this crazy world. We will love you two until the end of time.”

The mother had requested a family gathering at their home in Katy, Texas, just outside of Houston before she shot her two daughters inside the house, investigators reported.

The girls and their father, Jason Sheats, ran outside but the mother kept shooting until she shot had killed the two girls, while her husband begged his wife to stop.

Jason was heard screaming, “Don’t do this, they’re our kids!”

Law-enforcement officials told The New York Post that Christy Sheats was determined to murder her two children and almost killed her own father in the process, who had ran to a neighbor’s house to seek safety as the gunfire erupted.

The two victims were shot in the middle of the street, and then Christy ran back inside the house to reload her .38 caliber gun. She then proceeded to run back outside to hit Taylor once again.

Authorities reported that Christy Sheats was a devoted advocated for gun-rights, but she also suffered from some form mental illness.

On Monday, the Texas Sheriff’s Office reported that the cops had been called to the house 14 times since 2012.

Christy Sheats was an active member of social media and told her Facebook friends in September how much she loved her daughters.

She wrote: “Happy Daughter’s Day to my two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful, intelligent girls…I love and treasure you both more than you could ever possibly know.”

The gun advocate believed that Obama was on a mission to disrupt her second amendment rights. In January, she posted a meme with a picture of a gun that said: “I have 10 guns. Obama wants 8 of my guns. How many guns do I have? That’s right, I have 10 guns.”
