Newly released video footage captured the moment French police opened fire on the ISIS fanatic plowed through a crowd of Bastille Day revelers gathered in the French Riviera city of Nice, killing 84 people.

The video shows cops surrounding the white truck as a barrage of gunshots rang out.

The armed driver — identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old Tunisian national, left a mile-long path of carnage along the seaside walkway before police killed him in a gunbattle.

“Such a monstrosity,” French President Francois Hollande said Friday morning. “France is deeply saddened, but it is also very strong. I can assure you we will always be stronger than the fanatics who are trying to attack us.”

Although there was no immediate claim of responsibility, a U.S. counterterrorism source who collects and monitors jihadist social media, told Fox News ISIS-linked accounts were “celebratory” and followers were instructed to use the hashtag “Nice.”
