Video shows Oklahoma carjacking suspect shot by cops on bus

Video surveillance footage shows the moment that a carjacking suspect jumped onto a bus in Oklahoma City to evade pursuing police officers before he was shot dead when he tried to grab one officer’s weapon.

The Oklahoma City Police Department announced that the suspect, who has been identified as Miguel Angel Chavez-Angels, 42, barricaded himself inside an auto body shop before boarding a bus to elude officers who were investigating a report of vandalism following a carjacking on June 24th.

Officials released the video on Monday showing Chavez-Angels ordering terrified passengers off the bus.

The footage shows officer Heather Lane boarding the bus confronting the suspect, who then grabs her weapon and wrestles him to the ground.

Officer Daniel Carli arrives and fires off several rounds killing Chavez

Police said neither the bus driver nor passengers were harmed in the incident.

According to KOCO, the officers are were placed on paid administrative leave.
