Rap impresario Dr. Dre was briefly arrested after a man informed authorities that the mogul pointed a firearm at him during a bizarre racial road rage case that involved a citizen’s arrest.

The Sheriff’s Department for Los Angeles County stated that the man told officers that he was parked outside of a Malibu, California residence when Dre ordered him to leave and pointed a handgun at him.

According to TMZ, Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, told deputies that he didn’t have a gun and that the man was blocking the driveway.

Young said as the man moved his car to a nearby parking spot, he reportedly started swearing at the rap mogul at Dre as he pulled into his driveway.

Dre took out his cell started to record a video of him.

Police handcuffed the rapper-producer for a short time while officers investigated. No weapon was recovered at the residence, however, deputies have reported that the man insisted on making a citizen’s arrest for brandishing of a firearm.

Dre’s representatives have not returned requests for comment.
