A man allegedly punched George Zimmerman in the face for allegedly boasting about the deadly shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman, who was acquitted of killing the unarmed black teen, dialed 911 to report that a man had assaulted him in a Florida restaurant last weekend when he was talking about the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin that occurred back in 2012.

The 32-year-old told police officers a man walked up to his table and said, “You’re bragging about that?” right before punching him in the face.

He told police dispatchers: “He recognized me… He told me he was going to kill me, he told me he’d [expletive] shoot me and he punched me in the face.”

Although Zimmerman is considered the victim in the case and eyewitnesses who were present inside the Gators Riverside establishment at the time of the incident, verified the assault to law enforcement officials.

However, witnesses told authorities that the problem started because Zimmerman was bragging about killing the unarmed teen in 2012, according to local ABC affiliate WFTV Channel 9.

Zimmerman said that the incident caused him to fear for his life, stating: “He said he’s going to kill me… You need to send like three or four cops.”

Below is a transcript of the 911 call made by Zimmerman after the assault occurred:

Dispatcher: “What started the argument?”

George Zimmerman: “He recognized me. He told me he was going to kill me he told me he’d (expletive) shoot me and he punched me in the face.”

Zimmerman told the 911 dispatch that he was just explaining to patrons sitting at a nearby table that he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense when the man assaulted him.

Zimmerman: “This man just punched me in the face.”

Dispatcher: “Is the person still there?”

Zimmerman: “Yup. He said he’s going to kill me.  You need to send like three or four cops.”
