Police in New York say the remains of a recently identified 15-year-old boy, discovered last week in a wooded area near train tracks in a quiet Long Island town, where three other teens were discovered have investigators suspecting the involvement of MS-13 gang members.

Suffolk County law enforcement officials announced that the body of Miguel Garcia-Moran was spotted last Wednesday in the village of Brentwood, Long Island near the remains of 19-year-old Oscar Acosta, who was reported missing back in May.

Garcia-Moran’s death is being examined as a homicide, according to Timothy Sini, the Police Commissioner for Suffolk County, New York’s PIX11 reported.

The teenager, who was last seen in February, is the fourth youth discovered dead in the Brentwood area within the past two weeks, and investigators believe that the ruthless MS-13 gang may be responsible for all of the recent murders.

The area where both bodies were uncovered is allegedly a dumping site for the gang’s victims, The Daily Caller reported.

Acosta’s body was found on September 16th, just days after police discovered the remains of two teens, 15-year-old Nisa Mickens and 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas.

Officials said the two teens, who were best friends, had been beaten to death.

Outraged parents in the community have voiced concerns about the growth of the MS-13 gang, which has correlated with an influx of Central American undocumented teens.

As a result, Suffolk County police announced last week an “all-out assault” on gangs, which have caused havoc in the 11-square-mile town as well as in the neighboring communities of Central Islip and Wyandanch, where gang activity remains prevalent.

Additionally, Investigators are also preparing to launch a new gang prevention program in Brentwood.

The Mara Salvatrucha gang, better known as MS-13 which is one of the most ruthless and violent street gangs, is infamous for its associations with organized criminal groups and drug cartels, and its capacity to obtain high-powered weapons.

Because of the strife occurring in Central America, many original gang members had guerrilla warfare training, making them more dangerous than many other criminal organizations.

Garcia-Moran’s parents had stated that they worried that a gang might have targeted their son.

The investigation into the four murders remains ongoing.

Crime Stoppers are offering an $15,000 reward for any information in the case.
