An Ohio federal district court judge has sentenced an aspiring rapper charged with child pornography after he allegedly recorded sexually explicit videos of underage teen girls and using the footage in music videos, to 15 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say Eric Chavis pled guilty to conspiracy to produce child pornography back in June. He was subsequently sentenced on Tuesday to the mandatory minimum allowed under federal guidelines.

Immigration & Customs Enforcement arrested the 24-year-old Columbus rapper who went by the name ‘Thot King” in August 2015 by the at his apartment on child pornography charges stemming from accusations he uploaded 29 videos of himself with the underage girls.

During Tuesday’s court appearance, District Judge Michael Watson said although the victims, who were 16 and 17, seemed all “mature,” they were not of the legal age of consent.

Additionally, Watson says the defendant “trolled the internet” to attract young performers purposely. Chavis also videotaped underage girls performing sex acts, ABC13 reported.

Federal investigators said one 16-year-old victim claimed Eric Chavis promised to make her a star in one of his videos.

Chavis allegedly plied the girl with booze and weed before she participated in several videos where she was nude or partially nude.

He then proceeded to distribute the videos to online social networks, pornographic websites, and on DVD.
The attorney for Eric Chavis had maintained his client believed the girls were willing participants and all over the age of 18-years-old.

Upon his release from prison, Chavis must also register as a sex offender.
