Rapper Freddie Gibbs has been cleared by an Austrian Court of charges that he drugged and raped a 17-year-old in a hotel room.

The Vienna regional court granted 34-year-old Gibbs, whose real name is Fredrick Tipton, the benefit of the doubt that he did not rape the alleged victim.

According to court documents obtained by local media outlets, Freddie Gibbs took the girl and her teenage friend back to his hotel room after a concert in Vienna back in July 2015.

The documents indicated that both teenagers were heavily drinking while they were backstage at the concert and claimed that their drinks were possibly spiked, the Daily Mail reported.

He was accused of having sex with the 17-year-old, who was too inebriated to resist.

She came forward with the allegations after she experienced flashbacks of the night eight months later, which led to his apprehension in France in July and his subsequent extradition to Austria.

The rapper, who was released in August on bail, has refuted the charges. If convicted, he would have faced ten years behind bars. However, the verdict may still be appealed.

Gibbs frequently refers to drugs, sex, and sexual violence towards women in his music.

In August, he was charged with “sexual abuse of a defenseless or psychologically impaired person.”

His attorney, Thomas Kralik, stated that his client declared throughout the legal dispute that he had not harmed nor had any sexual contact with the reported victim.

When Gibbs was arrested, Kralik stated: “He strenuously denies (the accusations).”

The singer was on a European tour to plug his new album “Shadow of a Doubt” when he was taken into custody.

He had to cancel appearances in Marseille and Strasbourg, France, Porto, Portugal, as well as the next leg of his tour in Canada.
