Video shows moment runaway drunk driver drags police officer on hood in China

Shocking video shows the moment a runaway drunk driver in China drives at high speed with a police officer clinging to the hood of the car for over a mile.

According to the People’s Daily Online, footage of the incident was captured on Oct.5thin Xuzhou, China’s Jiangsu province.

The police officer managed to escape with minor bruising local media outlets reported.

The driver is seen looking as if he was going to stop at a police checkpoint. However, as the car started moving, the officer grabs onto the windshield wipers. The car drives at speeds up to  58.4 miles per hour with the officer gripping on tightly before swerving around the corner.

When the car finally came to a stop, the officer looked to be in discomfort.

Local reports confirmed the driver was allegedly under the influence. Police later arrest the man and two other people.

The officer sustained minor bruises.
