Video footage has emerged online of a Michigan Judge ripping off his robe to assist in the tackling of an insubordinate man in his courtroom.

The occurrence, which involved John McBain, the Jackson County Circuit Court Judge — who previously told a murderer “I hope you die in prison,” happened back in December despite the fact that the footage was released on Wednesday.

McBain had just sentenced the man to jail, but the suspect fought against efforts by the police officer to place handcuffs on him, according to MLive.com.

The Michigan judge informed the Jackson Citizen Patriot that the man was “totally disturbing the decorum of the court.”

Thomas Wilson, the Jackson County Chief Circuit Judge, justified McBain’s behavior, saying that they were admissible, citing that the judge needs to do what is necessary to maintain order.

McBain was previously recognized for reprimanding a defiant killer in a case that took place back in 2014.

During the suspect’s sentencing, a relative of the victim was interrupted by the murderer during an impact statement.

“You’re going to shut your mouth, or I’m going to have some duct tape put on it. I hope you die in prison. If this were a death penalty state, you’d be getting the chair,” the judge declared.
