A Florida man with a disfigured skull, who gained the nickname the “Half-headed man” was apprehended on Monday on first-degree murder and arson charges.

Officials from the Miami police department indicated in arrest documents that 31-year-old Carlos Rodriguez allegedly set his mattress on fire on Monday afternoon inside a duplex which had two people inside at the time.

The arrest report further states that the fire was intentionally started, “posing an immediate threat to the lives and safety of the occupants.”

Rodriguez made an appearance in bond court on Tuesday, where a judge granted him $20,000 bond, according to WSVN.

Rodriguez became an internet star back in 2012 when he appeared in a video on YouTube detailing how he lost a large part of his skull and brain in a car accident.

“I was barred out on drugs. I was driving, and I hit a pole and flew out the front window and landed on my head,” he said in the video.
