A Dallas realtor, who was fatally shot in a parking lot as her daughter watched in horror, was reportedly trying to sell the girl’s iPhone to buyers that they had met on an app.

Forty-two-year-old Martha Teran was killed in a Medieval Times parking lot on Sunday night, according to Fox 4. A fellow realtor said Teran was brand-new to the business and was planning to relocate to Louisiana to be near her common-law husband.

Teran’s daughter was trying to sell her iPhone 7 on an app called OfferUp. The people who claimed that they would buy the phone opened fire on the mother before fleeing.

Relatives told WFAA that the three suspects had requested to meet at a different location, but the mother declined. Family members said that there was “little to no communication” before they started shooting.

Authorities did not initially identify any suspects.

“It’s tragic news,” Tom Gilchrist, a fellow realtor, told WFAA. “We’re all shocked.”

The woman’s family have launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her funeral.
