Ann Anastasi, the Maryland woman, who prosecutors allege was involved in a bizarre  love triangle with her husband and their full-time mistress, has pleaded guilty to her role in their murders.

The Anne Arundel County state’s attorney’s office in Maryland revealed in a statement that on Wednesday, the 43-year-old Ann Anastasi, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder, CBSLocal reported.

Back in October 2015, authorities discovered 40-year-old Anthony Anastasi Jr. shot and killed, and 25-year-old Jacqueline Riggs stabbed, in the basement of the home the three lived in.

Prosecutors indicated that the three were involved in a relationship, and sexual partners but Riggs and Anthony Anastasi were living together in the basement.

Detectives reported police charged, Ann Anastasi with first-degree murder along with her her13-year-old daughter and the girl’s boyfriend, 18-year-old Gabriel Struss, who pleaded guilty back in June.

Over the course of the investigation, police discovered text messages implicating all three suspects in the two murders.

During one text message exchange, Struss implored the teenage girl not to talk to the police or he risked going to prison for life.

The girl also spoke of taking the rap for Struss in the slayings in another message.

Ann Anastasi faces 60-years in prison when she is sentenced. He daughter remains in the custody of a juvenile facility.
