Narco-tunnels uncovered in Tijuana

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials confirmed to a local NBC affiliate in San Diego, the discovery by Mexican authorities of two unfinished cross-border narco-tunnels in the city of Tijuana.

According to NBC 7 San Diego, federal police in Mexico secured a building located a block from the border in the Fray Mayorga industrial area of Tijuana.

Mexican officials with SEIDO alerted CBP officials after discovering the narco-tunnels near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry earlier this week.

Border Patrol agents gave no indication that the passageways reached the U.S. side of the border.

As JammedUp News reported, authorities recently uncovered a cross-border tunnel inside an Otay Mesa warehouse leading to a business near the Tijuana airport in October.
