Suspect kills man, wounds brother after knife fight erupts following soccer game in Brooklyn

A knife fight broke out after a midnight soccer match in Brooklyn, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old man. The victim’s brother was also critically wounded in the altercation.

Paramedics discovered Delvin Martinez with grave stab wounds to his neck and torso at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn on Sunday, according to police.

Emergency responders rushed Martinez to Woodhull Hospital, where he died two hours later, The New York Daily News reported.

The attacker also stabbed Martinez’s 29-year-old brother, Oscar. He was discovered with severe wounds to the face, neck, and torso across the street.

Oscar is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Authorities allege that a fight over the soccer game outside Beginning with Children Charter School 2 on Heyward St, led to the deadly event.

NYPD officials said no arrests have been made, but the investigation is still pending.
